5. So long dearie – Hello, Dolly! (movie Version)
If you haven’t seen this movie, I suggest you get it (It was on Netflix Instant last time I checked, and while you’re at it, watch Funny Girl too.) because it’s fabulous.
4. People will say We’re in Love – Oklahoma!
This one I’ve never actually seen, besides the “junior” version at my middle school that didn’t make any scene because they cut out the main plot element! And up until recently I had a vendetta against it, but that doesn’t mask the fact that it’s truly a lovely musical. Mostly.
3. Find your Grail – Spamalot
Sara Ramirez won a Tony for her role in Spamalot, which I saw on Broadway will most of the original cast when I was nine (I even went backstage, but I didn’t meet anyone who had a main role). She wholeheartedly deserved it, her voice is amazing.
2. The Dark I Know Well - Spring Awakening
Yeah, yeah, everyone and their mothers sings Spring Awakening. Quite frankly, I don’t care. It’s a great musical. This song in particular gives me chills.
And, last, and most certainly not least, we have… *drumroll*
1. In His Eyes – Jekyll & Hyde
A beautiful song. Will forever be one of my top favorites. In fact, this whole musical is amazing. Thank goodness my friend left it here one night, or else I probably wouldn’t have discovered all the beauty that lies on this CD. Seriously.
